In 2006 Ross gave me a book titled the World is Flat by Thomas Friedman. This got me thinking about how the landscape of organizations were changing from hierarchical (vertical) to flat (horizontal). I made a decision to find an answer to the question "If Google can find a relevant article from a billion others in seconds, what would it take to find the best applicant from hundreds or thousands?" While I have an MBA from St. Edwards University, it is only when Ross put me in touch with mentors - Matt and Grant with Melbourne University and the MUEC program, the idea started taking form. There is a long road ahead, but it all starts with a plan. The time spent in planning is priceless, as this makes execution simple. I am three weeks from ending my full time job in pursuit of this goal, that keeps me up at nights. While not wining the competition is somewhat of a disappointment, the real disappointment would be if the dream isn't realized. So in appreciation for the hundreds of hours of effort from the team, mentors this page is dedicated so those memories stay current and the dream lives on.
