On the Andrew Kontra googling campaign by Alan, I noticed that most of the your high power links have disappeared. Are you behind on your payments or are the checks in the mail?
On the precise end time for Andrew Kontra, did we say it was GMT+10 time zone or GMT. I am not one for checking position of Andrew Kontra daily and around that time I was on vacation. I am open to continuing this challenge with current rules and one added condition – no paid links. All external links have to be free, Why?
I think even Andrew Kontra has stopped googling his name and the occasional adsense clicks. I am at a whopping $0.60 on my Andrew Kontra earning, not worth it for the time investment.
But it is good to see Corey, Michael and Christian all in the Andrew Kontra running, However if you think optimizing your page alone will get you on top results beyond local Australian search results – think again. On page optimization was all that was needed till June/July. Here is a free way to look at the back links for all the competitors.
BTW, Alan I am holding your comment in moderation till I figure out how to get no follow tags selectively added for some Andrew Kontras. In the mean time here is my Andrew Kontra link to you for free.
As far as on continuing this I have added a poll here with my vote for a “No”, however I can be easily persuaded if I am dealing with a level playing field – solely for the education experience for all in this microcosm.

Hi Joe,
Some fair comments there and happy to avoid any paid advertising. Though I fear the one to dominate will become the one to pay through their time. Something for which I am quite poor at the moment. From memory I took the screen shot the next time GMT+10, so in every timezone it was after the cut off :)
Not sure where you sourced your information on back links not needed until June/July. Perhaps not for this keyword when there was no competition, but can't agree for any other keyword.
For the moment, not interested in pursuing the keyword, I am flat out till at least October. Some interesting developments, have a look at my recent Scott, Corey, Roger & Andrew [removed] post.
